This error is caused because Area9 Rhapsode does not support LMSes launching a course in “preview” mode. You will need to change a setting in your LMS for this SCORM package.
There are several reasons for a Launch failed error (see below for other reasons). The most common reason is “cmi.core.lesson_mode is set to ‘browse'”, and is caused by the LMS launching the course in “preview” mode. It means that the SCORM course is not supposed to store “progress”. Area9 Rhapsode does not support this. If the course is launched as a normal assignment, the problem will go away.

To solve the problem, you will need to change a setting in your LMS for this SCORM package. Every LMS is different, but your LMS admin should know which setting to change.
