We run a dual database setup with a hot replica and daily backups. Backups are tested on teach deploy.
Our production system runs in a dual database setup, with a hot replica. Further, we do have daily backup setup of all databases. All server platforms are deployed using docker containers that are rebuilt on each commit and stored. Our backup is tested in each deploy as we restore the production in the (GDPR safe) staging system to do smoke testing ahead of each (more than weekly) deploy to production.
